Event Details

Many pilgrimages are made to see the beauty of the buildings and structures man has built over time and the history behind them. Costa Rica Catholic Adventures was started to offer a different type of pilgrimage, not to the building and structures man has left behind, but to the building and structure God has made and is in the process of making. Costa Rica is a bridge between the Americas that is filled with natural beauty such as erupting volcanoes, awesome waterfalls, peaceful beaches and rivers, and exciting wildlife. This is a One-Week Adventure:

Day 1------------------------------Arrive (Hotel in Central Valley) (Buena Vista Hotel)

Day 2-------------------------------Poas Volcano Crater & Waterfalls of Peace (Hotel Central Valley) (Buena Vista Hotel)
Look into the second largest active volcano crater in the world and then drive to see five amazing waterfalls in the midst of the rainforest. Today is easy hiking at the volcano and waterfalls. We will have a blessing in the morning and Mass in the evening.

Day 3--------------------------------Leave for Zarcero and Arenal Volcano. (Hotel Arenal Lodge)
Today you will drive 3 hours to the world famous Arenal volcano which is a perfectly cone-shaped volcano and has lava running down its sides daily. We will stop along the way to have mass, music, & food and optional horseback riding. We will arrive to the Arenal Lodge which is a hotel in the middle of the nature only surrounded by nature and amazing views of the volcano.

Day 4--------------------------------Tour of Lake Arenal and Tabacon HotSprings (Arenal Lodge)
Have a tour around Central Americas second largest lake while you enjoy views of Central Americas most active volcano.

Day 5--------------------------------Day of optional Adventures (zipline, waterfall rappel, rafting, or relax in the hotel) (Arenal Lodge)
Today you have the choice of many different tours and adventures from easy walking in the rainforest or riding smoothly on an aerial tram to wild adventures such as whitewater rafting or ziplining through from mountaintop to mountaintop.

Day 6--------------------------------Drive to Sanchiri (Sanchiri)
Drive through the capital city of San Jose where you will have lunch and head to Cartago the former capital of Costa Rica and the site of the famous Basilica. Here you will stay at the Sanchiri Lodge where you will have an breathtaking view of the valley of Orosi.

Day 7--------------------------------The Basilica of the Virgin of Los Angeles & Valley Orosi Tour (Sanchiri)

Day 8--------------------------------Fly Home!

Price includes: All private transportation, hotels, tours listed, & private bi-lingual tour-guide

$675/person double-occupancy
(add $200 for single occupancy)

a question to see in which dates should I book flights?



Arrival: 26th of March



Departure: 2nd of April?



Also for budget planning... I understand not any meals are included in the price?
