New Saint Paul article for Catholic Exchange...

2008-07-10
Ephesus, Corinth, Damascus, just whispering the names of these cities gets my wanderlust going.

I’ve been to many places Saint Paul traveled, but I wish I could have visited during his time, when the world was a bigger place. When there were still so many unknowns. So much uncertainty.

I wish I could have traveled on a Roman road. Set sail on a boat that had no business being in the water.

Yes, I wish I could have traveled before travel was safe. When people traveled out of necessity, not for pleasure.

Don’t get me wrong, I am very thankful for being able to cross the Atlantic in hours, rather than days or even weeks. But, I wish I could go back in time to experience what it was like in Paul’s time. In Christ’s time. Then, maybe I would have a better understanding, appreciation even, of what they did to spread the Gospel.

My new series for Catholic Exchange is up:

A Year of Travels with Saint Paul: Tarsus

Throughout the next twelve months, I am going to attempt to take you to the places Saint Paul traveled, only we'll visit them back in his time.

The Saint Paul series will be a part of my weekly travel article for Catholic Exchange.

Hope you enjoy it!
