Hello Everyone,

Glory to Jesus Christ!

I have a website that I would like to share with everyone who would like help with understanding the Catholic faith and help in defending it, below. I subscribe to John Martignoni's newsletter Apologetics for the Masses on the Bible Christian Society's website. John has been very helpful to me in learning techniques on defending our faith. I hope you can find help here as well.

Hi Rosa!

Glory to Jesus Christ!

My prayers go out to you. No doubt that you have been put into a difficult situation. My first thought is that you should do everything you can (with God's help) to defend our faith. The one and only True Faith. However, the way in which you go about defending the faith can make a huge difference.

I can relate to the situation that you are in. I was exposed to a very similar situation and I was unprepared and unable to effectivly defend our faith. Because of this God used it as a spring board to motivate me to a greater learning and understanding of our faith.

If you feel that you are knowledgeable enough of the faith by all means you should defend it. But you should do it gently, lovingly, in a way as not to offend. Who knows you may be able to some day turn their hearts to believe the Truth.

Glory Forever!

Best regards, William

Hi Rosa! Stay in the group to tell the the truth about the Catholic Church. As Catholic it is our duty to defend the Church and Her teaching and to also spread the Gospel to unbelivers.

Hi Rosa!

I was once attending an evangelical group in College. There were no catholic one and I was invited to attend. I think it was very important to me to have an ecumenical experience and for the others brothers in Christ (evangelics) to have a better image of the Catholic Curch (about Mary, Saints, catholics in general). I made new friends there!

I donīt know about your group, but if it's good stay on it. And give a good exemple of a "proud to be Catholic", make fraternal correction, and remember the words of Christ: "John 17:21-

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me."

Regards!

We have a prayer circle at work, it is ecumenic, it is suppose to be open 4 everyone, we pray for anyone in need but recently I've noticed one of the ladies want to take the lead and I have heard some comments that I think are not correct, she's protestant and sometimes she says things that are not true about our church... do u think I should walk out of the group or should I keep "fighting" for our faith? Thanks 4 the feedback!

I watch some EWTN, but my passion is books, usually heavy theological ones (my areas of interest).

A great way to keep up with our faith is through Catholic Radio and TV. This is a great source of information. I am of the belief that all the more I know about my faith, the closer I am to Jesus Christ. He will lead me to God. EWTN Radio and TV has been good for me in that respect although it should never replace my obligation to attend Mass and receive the Sacraments.

It has been my experience that too few Catholics understand their faith. Unless we continue to grow in our own spirituality and knowledge of our beliefs, how can we ever hope to effect a change and defend our faith?

The attack us because they are afraid of us. Maybe because they don't understand us. Bishop Fulton J. Sheen said it best....

" Not 100 in the United States hate the Roman Catholic Church, but millions hate what they mistakenly think the Roman Catholic Church is."

a pupil is no better than his Master. If our Master was killed and persecuted, will have no less. Evil doesn't sleep. But we know that the Battle is won! Christus Rex

Rosa, I'll bet if you check out Ignatius Press (www.ignatius.com) and search the catalog, you'll find a few good biographies of St. Ignatius. By the way, do you mean St. Ignatius of Loyola or St. Ignatius of Antioch?
