in National Catholic Register

The National Catholic Register was founded in 1927 by Msgr. Matthew Smith as the National Edition of the Denver Catholic Register. “If you like a Catholic paper with snap, vigor, courage, here it is. If you like one that is easy to read, here it is. If you like one that will always be loyal to the Church and has no selfish axe to grind, here it is.” Those are the words of Msgr. Smith written in the inaugural issue. After more than 80 years, the National Catholic Register continues to provide its readers with timely news reporting from across the United States, from the Vatican, and from around the world. Today, we take Msgr. Smith’s words and put them into action.

Hey Todd, if you are looking for some good books to read, I can refer you to three that I have read or I'm in the middle of reading now. 1. WORDS OF LIGHT, inspiration from the letters of Padre Pio, 2. THE WISDOM OF THE SAINTS, AN ANTHOLOGY from Jill Haak Adels, & 3. 201 INSPIRATIONAL STORIES OF THE EUCHARIST. the books are published by Paraclete Press, Oxford University Press, and Called by joy Press.

Are you tired of supposed "best selling" novels that demoralize readers? I have authored a Catholic adventure trilogy that's ideal for adults and teens who are searching for wholesome literature that captures their attention and imagination, while also re-educating/reminding them of the importance of practicing basic morals. Purchase your copy of "A World Away: the Quest of Dan Clay" and the second installment, "The Harrowing Escape: the Quest of Dan Clay" by T. J. Smith online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or at tatepublishing.com. The third installment in the trilogy, "The Sinister Realm: the Quest of Dan Clay" is scheduled for release in the fall of 2009. If you're a fan of C. S. Lewis or J. R. R. Tolkien or a homeschooling parent, the books will make excellent additions to your library.

May our Lord bless you with His peace.

Great Paper! Years ago, while living in MS, at least 4 of the papers had articles written by OB/GYN's telling their personal story of changing their practices to NFP only and no more birth control methods. I lost the articles in moving and have had so many times that I wanted to share their stories but could not locate a copy. I emailed NCR twice and don't know if it was lost in space...but never heard. Still talk about these doctors today and wish I had a copy of their testimonies in the articles that I could share.
