God ought to be the love of our life. It's a shame in many cases this is not the case.

Very nice article Jennifer Hartline. In following Jesus it seems easiest to take one small step at a time to rid us of our cynicism and indifference or other faults. Even when we fail there are so many other options to share in the love of Christ and God's wonderful world. God bless.

Yes, we should not substute Christ's perfect love for that of our spouses, but love our spouse more perfectly because she love Christ and I love Christ. The first comandment say we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind and stregth, and the second is liken unto it, to love our nieghbor as ourself. This does not mean in spite of God's Love.

As we always go through mini conversions through our journey, back in the summer of 1995, listening to the reading where Abraham was asked to sacrifice his son while he was going to without hesitation, but God was testing Abraham's fidelity and halted the intended sacrifice of the son, letting the son live. We need to be in full union with God now (in heart, soul, and mind)! The Church has never changed, people have changed as you can see the fruits in today's world. We, as Catholics, can make a difference through our relationship with God, our prayers, our apostolic actions in a hurt world. St. Augustine (along with St. Alphonsus Liguori) was one of the Saints who brought me back to the Church with a better understanding of my Faith.

Remembering my Confirmation, becoming a Soldier of Christ, i move on.
